SeaCell® pure + SeaCell® active

The minerals contained in the seawater accumulate in the seaweed. This explains the large variety of chemical elements found in seaweed material. Moreover, they contain carbohydrates, aminoacids, fats and vitamins. Analyses of the SeaCell® fibre and the aqueous extracts of the SeaCell® fibre showed that the active ingredients of algae material are also contained in SeaCell® fibres and fabrics.

One important argument supporting the use of the SeaCell® fibre and its acceptance by the markets is the fact that the SeaCell® fibres are manufactured using natural materials only. Combined with the environment-friendly Lyocell technology, the SeaCell® process for the production of cellulose fibres with health-promoting effects is perfectly incorporated into the cycle of nature.

'Pure' always means unadulterated. And that's exactly what the SeaCell® purefiber stands for the unadulterated effects of the seaweed. Because seawater ingredients are enriched in the seaweed, which explains the high levels of various minerals, trace elements, carbohydrates, fats and vitamins in the fiber. The seaweed extracts also promote the production of glucosaminoglycans, which not only accelerate the healing process of skin inflammations, but also protect the skin from free radicals. SeaCell® active

The active version is SeaCell® fiber which is kind to the skin and has been enriched with silver. Silver has been known to have antibacterial properties since ancient times. And as pure silver is generally not known to trigger any negative side effects, it is used as an activator in the manufacture of SeaCell® active.

The seaweed's effect is further boosted by a long-lasting antimicrobial effect, as has been proved in tests carried out by the Hohenstein Institute to meet the Japanese Industrial Standard. Trials with bacterial and fungal cultures at the University hospital of Jena have also established that the active fiber has antimicrobial properties.

All this results in a fabric which neutralises odours, having wonderfully clean feeling.

Tests have also shown that the fiber behaves excellently during yarn manufacture and dyeing, as well as boasting outstanding dry tensile strength, and proves to be highly reliable for processing purposes.
