Since its foundation in 1972, Topkapi has been operating on a 250.000 square metres green area of which 85,000 square meters is closed and is surrounded by over 15.000 trees in Hadimkoy, Istanbul.
Our production is provided by the processes which doesn't harm human health and environment. The importance we attach to human health and environment was awarded OKOTEKS certificate in 1999. We know that the main factor in long term succes of a firm is human resources and have been developing strong ties with our employees for years. The knowledge and experiences of the retired employees have been incerasing more with their children who have been joining in Topkapi's mills. Thanks to our state-of-the art machine park with 68.816 spindles in Hadimkoy, European part of ??stanbul, our fully developed laboratory and on-line controlling systems and our working team who are highly qualified and has been integrated with the firm for a long time, we, as Topkapi are producing not only yarn but also value for our clients. In our history which has continued for an half century, we have been one of the pioneers in short staple ring spinning production both in the world and in Turkey with our spinning technology and experienced, professional management in trade, qualified and highly motivated employees, modern machine parks, a developed laboratory and on-line controlling systems.
We, as Topkapi, has a quite experienced team in ring spinning technology. Several machines in ring spinning technology have been perfected and commercialized world wide by the experience of our team. G30 and G33 ring spinning machines developed by Rieter can be given as an example. As Topkapi, we are proud of our team for their contributing to the textile technology.
Our method in Quality Control Operation is not only controlling of the end-product but also on-line process control including every phases of production. From air-conditioners to winders, all of our machines are conrolled on-line. We are standardizing high quality yarn production by monitoring all production parameters and factors. Our clients never face a surprise in their productions. As well as our on-line data systems, our developed laboratory and highly qualified laboratory team continously measure the suitability of Topkapi's packages to high quality and standards by testing the fibres and yarns. For preventing the surprises, as well as our expert team, our developed laboratory devices are a symbol of trust for our clients. In the competitive business world of today, our perfect service for clients, distinguishes our firm from the others. Topkapi is an establishment believing that all the employees should have equal rights and opportunities without taking into consideration their gender, language, colour and the other personal properties. In Topkapi, nobody can be forced to work and all of our employees work by their own consent. We employ nobody under 16. Our company continues its activities with the employees at the age of 18 and over. According to the points of the contract of TEKS??F union, wages and social rights are completely implemented for employees in accordance with the contract at the end of a month working.
In Topkapi, normal working time is 45 hours weekly and there is not an excessive working. If there is an overtime requirement due to the intensive demands, it is carried out on condition that the employees's and labour representatives' consent and approval and in legal limitations. The employees of Topkapi have at least one day vacation weekly. The wages are paid in accordance with legal arrangements.
In Topkapi, four kinds of meal is served to employees in accordance with the health regulations. For the transport of employees, an annual transporting service is contracted. The internal and external security of the firm and its employees is also provided by the security personnel in accordance with the official security law (article no. 2495). The activities of the firm are maintained in healthy and safe working environment. Thanks to our producing machines are equipped with warning signs, personnel protection materials (such as dust mask, ear protector and protector masks) in no dangerous way and are regularly maintained, it is provided a safe working environment. In addition, a workplace doctor serves our employees free. In Topkapi, there are workplace representatives and they are elected by employees' own will. Personnel in our firm are belonging to a union and the other employees who are not belonging to a union, have also every kind of rights in accordance with the working contract. All the employees of Topkapi share every kind of their desire, complaint and problems with their department managers.
The top management is informed by the department managers about them and then they are solved.
